We'll meet at the time of your choice or at the indicated time from Széll Kálmán Square in the heart of Budapest, and from there we will set off on foot to Buda Castle, a majestic fortress located on Castle Hill. You'll be surprised by the enormous palace complex, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We'll enter the castle grounds through the Vienna Gate, the oldest entrance to the fortress. Do you know how it got its name? From there, we'll pass in front of the National Archives and the Church of Mary Magdalene, two of the most striking buildings in the Buda Castle Quarter.
Our tour will continue as admire the façade of the Archbishop's Palace before strolling along Uri Street, whose medieval architecture is sure to enchant you. We'll then reach Holy Trinity Square, to find the Matthias Church, where the last Habsburg king was crowned.
Afterwards, we'll make our way to the Fisherman's Bastion to enjoy a unique view of Budapest Parliament, the Danube River and the bridges that cross it. Get your camera ready, this is the most iconic spot in the Castle Quarter.
Our final stop will be in St George's Square at the Matthias Fountain, where we'll hear all about the legend of the figures it depicts. The tour will come to an end here at 6 pm.
